Star Parker Biography:

Star Parker is one of the names on the short list mentioned when anyone speaks of national black conservative leaders.
Star Parker is the founder and president of The Center for Urban Renewal and Education, a public policy think tank that promotes market-based solutions to fight poverty.
Before involvement in social activism, Star had seven years of first-hand experience in the grip of welfare dependency. After consulting on federal Welfare Reform in the mid-90s, she founded UrbanCure to bring new ideas to policy discussions on how to transition America’s poor from government dependency.
Star has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business from Woodbury University and has received numerous awards and commendations for her work on public policy issues.
She regularly consults with both federal and state legislators on market-based strategies to fight poverty; she has spoken on more than 190 colleges and universities about anti-poverty initiatives; has authored several books; and is a nationally syndicated columnist with Creators Syndicate.
Many of national acclaim would agree that Star Parker has established herself as a thoughtful and energetic leader in Washington D.C and her UrbanCure advisory board includes folks of note such as Generals John Ashcroft and Ed Meese; Doctors Ben Carson, Robert P. George, George Gilder, Marvin Olasky and Walter E. Williams.

Temecula Valley RWF was founded more than 40 years ago by the mother of local Congressman Dana Rohrbacher of Huntington Beach. Since that time, we have remained an impassioned group of diverse women, dedicated to promoting mutually-held values: limited government, national sovereignty, lower taxes and personal responsibility.

History demonstrates that when these principles are in play, freedom, prosperity, and civil society flourish. These are America’s founding principles, which have been tragically eroding over the last six years under President Obama. To restore these core values to America, TVRWF knows we must elect Republican leaders – as it is the Republican Party alone that upholds these principles and enshrines them in its platform.

We are working hard to make that happen. We meet monthly at beautiful Wilson Creek Winery for lunch, and always feature a speaker who helps educate members and guests on critical topics. Last April, we welcomed Dinesh D’Souza (pictured with club leaders above) as our featured fundraiser speaker.

We are also active in registering voters, and in bettering our community through “Caring For America” projects for our troops, such as “4Paws4Patriots” that provide specially-trained service dogs to injured vets, as well as literacy, scholarships and other projects for students.

We started the new year by garnering 11 new members at our first meeting. We welcome one and all to visit and join us!

Julie Gilbart, president

We are proud to be a Diamond Award Club. The Temecula Valley Republican Women Federated club has been in existence over 25 years.

Grass Roots Republican Women…

The strength of the National Federation of Republican Women’s unit clubs is the autonomy of the individual unit club. It is here, at the grass roots level, that the women of the Republican Party find a source of year-round service and gain education necessary for them to be effective in initiating political and legislative endeavors through their unit clubs.  Unit clubs do cooperate with the official Republican Party in the activities the Party sponsors, but on a completely voluntary basis.

Republican Women for good government…

The Temecula Valley Republican Women Federated  works to increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government,  promote political education and activity, to work with the Republican Party to promote its principles and ideals, to work for the election of Republican Party nominees and to impact legislation.  The TVRWF also works to staff the Republican Party Campaign Headquarters in Temecula during the election year.

Other Organizations for Republican Women…

The Temecula Valley Republican Women Federated (TVRWF) is within the Riverside County Federation of Republican Women (RCFRW) and one of eight counties that consist of the Southern Division (CFRW-So. Div.) of the California Federation of Republican Women (CFRW) one of 50 state units of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW).   There are three levels in the structure of the Republican Party: County, State and National.  Because we are good Republicans, we know that “good government” begins at home.
